10/11 Championship Preview - Playoff Hopefuls

They may not be the most meritocratic invention, but it’s hard to argue with the excitement they bring to the end of the season, and once again a whole host of names can potentially count themselves in the running to emulate Blackpool’s unlikely success and gain promotion through the playoffs.

10/11 Championship Preview - The Front Runners

In a way it feels wrong to be doing this so early, when by rights we should all be watching cricket (and Rugby League) and taking a well earned break from the beautiful game, but just 27 days after the World Cup final (not that many of these players will have been involved), the first weekend of the English football league kicks off this Saturday, the 7th August. So with that in mind, CollinsBeans will give a breakdown of who is set to thrive, and who might be struggling to survive. Part 1 focuses on those clubs looking to take the two automatic promotion spots.

Five days and counting...

CollinsBeans pre-season break is over (what with the World Cup, it lasted all of about two weeks or so) and we are just five days away from the start of the new football league season. Stay tuned over the coming days as we preview the runners and riders for the 10/11 Championship campaign

Revolution-gate…

Was Terry right to speak out? Do England’s players need to grow up? Has Capello lost the dressing room? Will any of it make a difference on Wednesday?!

Changes seem inevitable for England, but will it be enough?

It looks like Fabio Capello might finally alter his formation for the crucial game against Slovenia on Wednesday, but is too much emphasis being place on the wrong personnel…
