Les Rosbifs

Following the fortunes of English footballers in foreign lands

Here at CollinsBeans we are all about promoting good football writing, which seeks to go beyond the clichés and looks at some of the more interesting and engaging stories out there about the beautiful game. It was from looking at an intriguing article on the current whereabouts of one time Arsenal and Tottenham winger Rohan Ricketts (see, you’re not the first to cross that divide Mr. Gallas, now making his way in the Moldovan top flight, that we encountered the rather excellent ‘Les Rosbifs’.

This site charts the progress of those brave and intrepid English footballers who decide to take the plunge and leap into the big bad world out there, known simply as ‘foreign football’. Meticulous research and a number of interviews with the players themselves means that this site is a fascinating read, for those of us who enjoy seeing some of countryman exporting their skills around the globe.

The next time you’re bemoaning why English players aren’t challenging themselves to go abroad more, we would really encourage all of you out there to go and check out this site and find out what the likes of Ricketts et al are up to. A link to the site can be found within our recommended sites on the right hand side of the blog. Alternatively, follow the link below:
