Wandsworth Athletic were given an automatic three points (w/c 11th January), following a failure from the opposition to comply with Rocks Lane regulation. Whilst the players were naturally disappointed to have another fixture cancelled, extending the already lengthy festive break, this does bring Wandsworth’s winning sequence up to seven games.
In place of a game, the playing squad benefited from a competitive, and at times boisterous, training session which will hopefully keep the team sharp ahead of the crucial end of season run in. The players were also able to enjoy an initial look at this season’s new kit, which will be worn for the first time next week. The updated strip incorporates the recently redesigned Wandsworth Athletic club crest, the handiwork of Matt C Stokes (squad number 13).
