Ray Mears Northern Wilderness

Over the last decade the name Ray Mears has become synonymous with the subject of surviving in extreme and hostile conditions. To the football fan that follows his team around the country, Ray can teach us some valuable lessons

Ray's great success has been down to his obvious passion for survival and the empathy and respect with which he shows the indigenous peoples and their cultures. Indeed it is obvious to his fans that Ray has spent his life learning the skills of the land and he is truly a master of the subject he calls 'Wilderness Bushcraft'

His style is to teach but not to preach. Ray encourages people to open their eyes and see the world for themselves, to enjoy their own personal sense of wonder and discovery; ‘he is merely a guide, passing on his knowledge.’

His latest series is his most informative to date and covers Ray's journey through the vast landscapes of the wildernesses of the North. Over the coming months, it is hoped that you can learn the valuable lessons he has to offer and that you will be able to use this knowledge to survive those potentially dangerous, yet undeniably exciting challenges of the away day to Preston, Rotheram, Macclesfield and Crewe.
