‘A hackneyed or overused phrase or opinion’. That is the Oxford dictionary definition of a cliché. That could also be the dictionary definition for ‘21st Century football punditry’.

Welcome to CollinsBeans, a site devoted to footballing opinion which seeks to slice through the clichés and pick apart the lazy generalisations that appear to increasingly define the nature of the analysis of the beautiful game.

CollinsBeans is all about opinion, nothing is 'right’ or ‘wrong’. It’s hoped that any fans of football out there, eager to move past sensationalism, will enjoy reading the opinions on offer and in turn, feel motivated to share theirs.
